Who knew that just around the corner there was a cafe that fulfilled any coffee lovers dream! The owner is an award winning barista, which comes as no surprise! The coffee is delicious, full of flavour, nutty and comforting. Even the smell of the grounded coffee hits your nose as soon as you walk into the cute cafe, making any coffee lover feel straight at home.
This is definitely the place to go to if you want a good cup of coffee. You also have a choice between several different types of milk as well as a menu full of differently styled coffees. You can go traditional with a nice cappuccino or get a little more creative and order a ‘Mocha Almond’.
Even though you might just come for the delicious coffee you might want to stay a little longer and get some breakfast! The menu has a variety of vibrant dishes. Plates are full of colour and you can taste the goodness in every bite. Leaving both your body and mind happy and satisfied!
Overall they have an amazing service, lovely people, mind-blowing coffee and delicious food. And as your mind and body are happy, so is your wallet! For everything you get the prices are great! I had an amazing breakfast and ordered a caffe latte with coconut milk (25.000 idr / 1.40 pounds).
Getting hungry already? Or are those coffee cravings kicking in? Quickly make your way to Hungry Bird where all your breakfast dreams will come true!
They are open everyday from 08:00–17:00apart from Sundays!
The light shines through the window, I can feel the heat on my face. You can already feel that its going to be a hot day. Its the perfect morning to walk out and dive into the lake. I pull my hair back as I put on the hot helmet. The warm wind flows past my legs as we drive past the lake following the bendy roads. We drive through a village named Morcote where we stop for a coffee. We spend the morning working while drinking delicious coffees with the most beautiful view. The cafe’s terrace is placed on a platform that is built over the water, which creates a stunning image.
I like working in different places and environments. This is when I tend to work at my best. I find that it boosts my creativity and energy. This is why I like to look for nice cafes to work in! And this place is a very good option! With fast internet, comfortable chairs, amazing view and great coffee! (Very important to keep the work going!) If you are looking for a cafe to work I will advice you to go here! – They also have delicious food if you feel like you are on a role with your work and staying for longer than expected!
As I mentioned, I love searching for nice cafes to work in. So after our productive morning in Morcote we decided to change the environment by driving to Como where we continued working in another cafe. Como is a beautiful place with its cute streets, vibrant colours and amazing atmosphere. As you walk past the cafes you smell the fresh coffee and pastries. The smell is making you hungry. Luckily its lunch time and I am in food heaven!
Como is beautiful and if you haven’t already visited I strongly recommend you have a stroll around its beautiful streets! You will fall in love with the atmosphere, the food, the people, the views. Just like I did. It immediately feels like home.
Even on a rainy day, I enjoy walking through this beautiful town. This time I am holding my cup of coffee tight, the wind is giving me shivers down my spine. As I am sitting safely underneath the parasol I watch people walk past, each and one of them in their own little world. People fascinate me, I think that is why I day dream so much. – It happens daily where I have some kind of awkward eye contact with a stranger after getting caught staring at them for what must of been quite a while.. I just wonder off, in my own little world, while thinking about everyone else’s little world.
When I returned to planet earth after my daily day dream session I joined the most French birthday party I have ever been to. As I arrived I got guided to the most beautiful secret garden, surrounded by palm trees and flowers. The tables where filled with countless cakes all home-made by the people that had gathered themselves in the garden enjoying their red wine and champagne. Rose peddles, candles, cheese, cake, wine, champagne all chattered over the table, it was the most beautiful mess I had ever seen. The sweet sound of laughter combined with the beauty of the french language created the most beautiful vibe. I now know one thing, the French know how to enjoy life. As I took a bite of my cake I heard someone say this in the background, “Take that extra sip of your wine, enjoy that piece of cake, tell your friends that you love them, because you never know what tomorrow might bring.” – So there you are, some wise advise for you from a true French man.
The key to happiness. Wouldn’t everyone like to find it. The thing is, everyone can, you just have to keep looking for it. When you lose your car key, do you just give up searching for it after a while? No, you keep going and move aside every object that stands in your way, until you finally find it. Everyone can find their key, but you will have to find it yourself. Only you know what this key looks like. Your key is original, differently shaped than others. So only you can find it.
I would like to think that I have a few keys. And one of them opens a door to the happiness I find in days like this. As I walk into the fresh garden, it smells of humid soil. The combination of this smell and the hot air already gives me a comforting feeling, putting a smile on my face. The dogs are already patiently waiting at the gate. – They too are excited to go for our morning coffee.
After fighting with the puppy over the last biscuit we decide to go back home and cool down by diving in the swimming pool. The heat makes you drowsy, the light makes everything look so green. The water is cool and the air hot. Even when the sun is starting to disappear in the sea, leaving the air painted in the most beautiful colours. It was the perfect moment to realise, this is the moment to end the day like a real French person would. We sat back down with a beautiful red wine and a selection of local cheese. With the warmth in our face, we enjoyed the smoothness and rich flavours of the French cheese, complimented by a sweet and light red wine. They were perfect together. It was as if the flavours made love the moment they were combined. As I said, I like to believe that I own many keys. And one of those keys, opened that door, a little piece of happiness.
After drinking many (but many, many) coffee’s in different restaurants and cafe’s in Chelsea, I have now discovered the ultimate place to get your golden brew!!
I walked past it many times and always wanted to go in but somehow I always had to run past it having no time to sit down. So I repeatedly told myself “ok, I’ll definitely go next time”. And so 2 days ago that time finally came!! – And now I repeatedly tell myself “why didn’t you go earlier!! WHY!!!”
Muni is a beautiful cafe located on Fulham road. With seats both inside and outside you can distinguish the tanned sun lovers sitting outside in the heat, from the shadow seekers crowded around the ventilators inside. But both with a smile on their face, as they are sipping on their cup of coffee brewed to perfection.
Apart from their amazing coffee, (which should already be a reason to run to Fulham road right now) they also have insanely tasty cakes, brioches, bowls, juices and many more deliciousness! It is the perfect place to go and visit anytime of the day and they offer something that anyone will love! Have a vegan banana bread, a Ube cookie (a delicious fruity cookie, a Filipino delicacy- which you HAVE to try), or try a fancy avocado on toast! They offer a perfect combination between original and delicious recipes, and recipes that come straight from the Philippines! – Which for sure will blow your mind!! (Seriously, go try the Ube cookie!!)
Together with their delicious food, comforting as well as fresh interior design ( which creates the best working space) , they also have amazingly sweet and helpful staff. – Who btw made me try a cappuccino with oat milk, thank you for making my life even better!!
So trust me when I say, this is the place with THE best coffee in Chelsea. You will find the best cakes, breakfast and lunch and you will notice the calm vibe as soon as you walk in! Perfect place to simply read a book or get some work done! So go on, find your way to Fulham road, you know you deserve that nice caffe latte! Here is the address, so you can get up and find your way there quicker! 166 Fulham Road, SW10 9PR! If you are quick you will probably see me there, I think I’ll order another!!
