Tropical Coconut Mango Chia Pod


This recipe is the ultimate breakfast that is so easy to make the night before. You are guaranteed to wake up with a smile the next morning as it will be like you are eating a dessert for breakfast! It’s healthy, sweet and has a little tropical twist! So delicious, even the little ones will love it! Plus, the chia seeds are packed with protein – which is perfect in the morning for a great energy boost! Yum!



Makes 2 pods

  • 3 tablespoons Chia seeds
  • 1/2 ripe mango
  • 80 ml coconut milk
  • 200 ml coconut yoghurt
  • 1 tablespoon rasped coconut



  1. Add the chia seeds and coconut milk together and leave to set for at least 10 min (until it forms a jelly).
  2. Meanwhile cut the mango into small pieces and put 1/3 of these pieces to the side. Place 2/3 in a blender and blend until smooth.
  3. Then simply place the coconut yoghurt in a bowl and add the rasped coconut.
  4. Once the chia seeds have formed a jelly add the blended mango and mix.
  5. Now get a glass in which you will layer the ingredients to form your pod.
  6. Start with some chia seed mango jelly, then place a layer of coconut yoghurt on top followed by a few pieces of mango. Then repeat and finish off with some chia seeds and mango pieces on top!

Tropical Coconut Chia Pod


I am in love with this Tropical Chia pod as it’s so refreshing, delicious and super easy to make! I have been making it a lot lately as I didn’t have a lot time in the morning to make breakfast so I prepare a few pots the evening before. It’s super quick to prepare and it’s full of nutrition and protein which will give you a great boost to start the day!



Makes 3 cups

  • 10 tablespoons Chia seeds
  • 3 cups coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla powder
  • 2 peaches
  • 2 bananas




  1. Put the chia seeds, coconut milk, vanilla powder and agave syrup in one bowl and mix well.
  2. Then poor the mixture into 3 separate cups.
  3. Now leave in your fridge to set. After about 10 min make sure to stir the mixture to make sure you don’t get any lumps. It will take about 2 hours or so for your pudding to set. You can also prepare it the evening before and leave it overnight so it’s ready for you to enjoy in the morning for breakfast.
  4. Once the Chia pudding is ready prepare the topping by placing the peaches and bananas in a blender and blend until smooth. Simply poor the smoothie on top as well as some more pieces of peach for extra yumminess!

Favourite smoothie bowls at Bali Bowls


If you get as excited for breakfast as I do then you have to go to one of my favourite places to enjoy a healthy and delicious breakfast. This place will make even your Monday mornings feel like a Saturday!

Bali Bowls is a cute cafe close to the beach. The bright white and green colours create a fresh atmosphere. You can hang in the relaxing chairs outside underneath the parasols or you can make your way upstairs and enjoy the view.

Its a relaxing place with a great atmosphere. Music is playing in the background, green plants and the bamboo surroundings create a tropical feeling. Everything about this place makes you feel comfortable and happy!



When looking at the menu you notice that there are such delicious and vibrant dishes. From ‘Unicorn toast’ (45k Idr/2.30 pounds), to ‘Banana oat pancakes’ (35k Idr/1.80 pounds) and of course the most amazing smoothie bowls. As you might be wondering what on earth ‘Unicorn toast’ is il just explain that its the most special piece of toast you will ever have. This toast is topped with rainbow yoghurt spread, strawberry, melon and homemade coconut sprinkles – told you it was crazy! But oh my its delicious!


‘Banana oat pancakes’ – Bali Bowls


Whats also amazing from this menu is that you can mix and match lots of dishes. Create your own toast by choosing a base and a topping such as beetroot hummus or peanut butter with broccoli, flax seeds, mango etc. There are endless options and you can make your toast as sweet or healthy as you want!

My favourite smoothie bowls are called ‘Green giant’ and ‘Banana-Cado’ (75k Idr/4.10 pounds) The ‘Green giant’ is an amazing green smoothie bowl that is still sweet and fruity while you are still getting all your greens in! Its a mix of spinach, kale, mango, banana, lime, turmeric, granola, coconut flakes and soya milk. Its smooth, refreshing and delicious! The ‘Banana-Cado’ smoothie bowl is a little more comforting as it has a more nutty and sweet flavour – which I love! The ingredients are banana, avocado, oats, peanut butter, dates, gojiberry, chia seeds, granola and oat milk.



They also serve coffee, smoothies, juices, buddha bowls, poke bowls, Nusa bowls and chia pods – which are my fave! Chia pods are full of protein and they are extremely refreshing as they are topped with delicious fresh fruit. They also make the pods fresh so you can choose what kind of milk you would like the to have such as almond milk, soya milk or coconut milk.



I love going to Bali Bowls when I crave a delicious and tropical breakfast and I definitely recommend you to go check it out! Honestly, go for a smoothie bowl and you’ll fall in love!



Bali bowls is located on Jalan Segara Perancak, Canggu,  Bali.

They are open from 7.30am until 10.30pm, so you can enjoy the most delicious meal at any time of the day! Enjoy!
