The first Superfoods bar serving the best Açai in Saint-Tropez – Açai Spot

I love the South of France for it’s warm colours, it’s cosy atmosphere and it’s beautiful scenery. I come here very often and that’s why I am so happy to have found this little gem in the middle of Saint-Tropez! Apart from the beach of course this will be the spot where you’ll find me! Enjoying my Açai Bowl in the sun while watching people go past through the stunning streets of the city.

This cafe that I am so in love with is called Açai Spot. It’s a little cafe in the middle of a cute street near the water. It’s the perfect spot to quickly pick up some breakfast or a quick snack. Or if you got some time sit down with your freshly made Açai bowl and enjoy the view.

What’s so special about this place is the fact that everything they serve here is 100% natural, has no sugar and absolutely no animal products in it. All the dishes are home-made, high quality and made with pure love. But it’s not only the dishes that are 100% natural. You are sitting in a complete natural environment! The bar is made with organic material and even the plastic bowls, cups and cutlery is made with compostable ‘plastic’. Meaning when a bowl or a spoon is placed in water it will dissolve over a short time – happy days for Mother Nature!

What to have

My absolute favourite and of course the first thing you have to try is the Açai Bowl (S €13/L €16). The amazing thing is that you can put together your entire bowl. Starting with a base you can choose between coconut, pitaya, Açai Pure and Açai Energy. Then choose the fruit you want it mixed with and finish off with the toppings! Different types of fruit, seeds, quinoa flakes and so on. If you order large you are in for a treat as it’s prepared to be a full meal. With lots of protein and amazing vitamins and minerals you have yourself a healthy boost that both your body and mind will love!

The quality of their ingredients and Açai is truly impressive. In fact, you’ll even see people from Brazil licking their lips when they leave with their very own bowl. One thing is for sure, they have some kick ass açai with which they make a kick ass bowl!

If you are an Açai freak like me this is also a great spot to take some high quality Açai home with you. They sell large bags of it in the cafe which are amazing. They also have snacks made daily such as delicious Energy Balls, which are great to take on the go! You can also order a fresh cold soup, juice, vegan protein smoothie or a ginger health shot if you are feeling extra healthy!

I truly love everything about this cafe. The natural and cosy atmosphere, the sweet and comforting people and of course the high quality and delicious products and meals. Their focus is ‘to inspire people to make decisions for a healthy and balanced diet by offering products aimed at their well-being’. All this with a little fun and sweetness added!

Fairytale Thai food in Saint-Tropez, Le BanH-Hoi

BanH-Hoi is truly one of my favourite spots in Saint-Tropez. I am in love with it’s atmosphere, vibe, location and most of all it’s amazing food. It’s a little hidden in-between the cute streets that lead you around town. But as soon as you walk into the right road you’ll notice the restaurant straight away. With it’s cute tables set in the middle of the road and light creating a fairytale like atmosphere. You walk into a little dream that is just going to get better.

What to have

I’m honestly in love with their menu. It’s so classic but with a little twist that will make you get excited. Everything they serve is colourful, full of honest and raw flavours and extremely high in quality. As I mentioned before, this is one of my favourite restaurants – however, I might even say this is my ultimate favourite. Yes, it’s that good.

Starter

As a starter I love ordering the Spinach filled Dim Sum. They are perfectly steamed filled with lots of spinach that’s so full of flavour. It’s a bomb of healthy green goodness and every mouth full is divine. It’s the best start to a delicious dinner.

Main

The ultimate main that you have to try is the Vegetable Basil Curry. This plate is overloaded with fresh crunchy vegetables bathing in a coconut curry sauce that is so creamy and rich. It’s honestly the best curry I have ever had as the flavours are fresh, comforting, tropical and they come together perfectly. I personally believe it’s the best dish on the menu.

As a side dish that’s a must try is the Sticky rice with coconut milk steamed in it’s bamboo stick. It’s unlike any rice you have ever tasted. It’s sweet, but not overly sweet. As soon as you take your first bite all the flavours kick in and as a finishing touch the bamboo flavour comes through. It’s absolutely amazing.

Another dish that is absolutely delicious are the Crispy vegetables rolls. They are perfectly crispy and filled with fresh vegetables. Served with lettuce and fresh mint you can decorate your own spring roll making it even more refreshing and tasty.

Where to go

BanH-Hoi is open everyday from 19.30- 23.30 and their address is 12 Rue du Petit Saint-Jean in St-Tropez.

I advice you to make a reservation before as it get’s pretty busy especially in the weekends. Their number is +33 (0)4 94 97 36 29

St Tropez – breakfast with sailors

So there I sat, surrounded by croissants and bread. In the middle of a busy terrace while overlooking the countless sailing boats parked in the harbour. Each one of them branded with a huge sticker and flag saying Rolex. When I turn away from the boats I notice that I am surrounded by guys dressed in white, white sailing costumes.

I understand why all the sailors tend to have breakfast here! I ordered yoghurt with granola which wasn’t only beautiful but also really delicious! Really fresh and crunchy which is perfect for a warm morning! I do have to say, the espresso wasn’t very good. They make it way too watery and bitter. However, others had ordered the cappuccino and did say that they were really good! So when you decide to try out this place order a cappuccino, not an espresso. – But definitely go for the yoghurt and granola!!

Ever year The Rolex Cup is organised in St Tropez, which is a great event! It lasts for a week and is an amazing experience! The boats are all parked in the harbour of St-Tropez which gives an amazing view. When looking over the water you see countless sailing boats just flying over the water.

Anywhere you walk and look over the sea the view is amazing. Especially when the sun goes down and the boats are still on the water. The lights of the towns light up. The mountains become foggy and the sun reflects the light of the sunset. Its crazy.

Best contemporary art galleries in St-Tropez

I have always had a passion for art! Lately I have started to appreciate contemporary art more and more and I decided to look for the best art galleries in St-Tropez! After walking in and out of different galleries many times I finally found my two favourites! They sell their art and change their collection rather quickly. – So go visit soon before you miss out!

These are some of my favourite pieces! You will love their variety of original and creative pieces which will not only inspire you, but also make you fall in love with contemporary art! – That is if you weren’t in love already!

The names of the shops are Galerie des Lices and Bel Air Fine Art. They are located in the heart of St-Tropez and are actually very close to each other. So you can walk from one gallery to the other!

A hippies favourite beach in St Tropez

Here I am, sitting outside with my feet up. Writing this article overlooking the harbour of St-Maxime. It’s still warm. The swallows are flying above me, but seem to dive back down closer to the ground, they say this means thunder is on it’s way.

Today I went back to my what is my favourite beach in St-Tropez right now! Unlike many other beaches here this one is rather small. – One of the reasons why I like it so much! I walk in and they recognise me, even the parakeets they have standing in the middle of the terrace start shouting and singing, I guess they recognised me too!

“Britt, would you like an espresso?” he says in a french accent trying his hardest to speak out my name, in which he thinks is the correct way. “I guess they have realised I have a coffee addiction” I thought while I quickly nodded and smiled.

You can walk to the sea and have a swim with the fish. – If they don’t start nibbling on your feet. Dangle your feet down while sitting in one of the wooden hanging chairs with a juice in your hand. Or have an amazing lunch while listening to Brazilian music while the parakeets sing along in the background. It’s a magical beach!

Perfect day in St-Tropez

The window blew open, the warmth quickly found its way inside, voices shouting “Bonjour!” outside my window. I could already smell the fresh croissants. I quickly jumped up, threw on a dress and followed my nose to the closest bakery.

After breakfast we found ourselves wondering around St-Tropez, but were determined to find a tiny secret beach that has been there for years but honestly forgot about the fact it even existed! After a long but beautiful walk we finally found our secret beach! – I forgot how beautiful it really is! The amazing thing is, not many people know about it. So it is never overcrowded and it has a very relaxing vibe! The food is amazing too, which you can enjoy at the tables but also on your bed while baking in the hot sun! The name of the beach is Plage Des Graniers, but lets keep this our secret!! Shhhh..

Now, let me tell you something about one of the best restaurants in St-Tropez. – At least in my opinion! Located in one of the small streets you will find a Thai restaurant. This Thai restaurant is not just a restaurant, it literally serves your dream food! It is absolutely incredible and a MUST visit! The colours and the flavours they serve on each plate is insane, with every single bite you will be closing your eyes and without even realising the corners of your mouth will lift. This food really does make you smile!

When I wonder around St-Tropez I love to walk past one of my favourite hotels. It is perfect for having a drink but even more amazing to stay the night! This hotel will blow your mind as the interior is extremely stunning. – Definitely my favourite hotel in St-Tropez! It is called Pan Dei Palais and is located on Rue Gambetta. It is quite hidden so you might easily walk past it! – And you definitely don’t want to miss this!

If I had to recommend any hotel it would definitely be this one! So go and have a look, you will LOVE IT just as much as I do!!
